In addition, we offer our members the opportunity to participate in additional benefit and spring projects, each with smaller ensembles, as well as chamber concerts.
The FSO is the musical flagship of the Freiburg student body. It stands out from the variety of local symphony orchestras due to its high musical level, its progressive programs, its highly professional rehearsal support and its friendly and cordial atmosphere and its open and is the first address for music-loving and talented students from all faculties of the University of Freiburg.

Our schedule for the winter semester 2023/24
Audition dates on Saturday, October 7 and 14, 2023 from 11 a.m. in the Herderbau in Tennenbacher Straße 4 and alternatively before the first two rehearsals of the semester on Monday, October 16 and 23, 2023 in the 'Kinohörsaal' of the Technical Faculty (HS 082/006) at Flugplatz in Georges-Köhler-Allee 82
Our regular-weekly rehearsals during the semester (i.e., starting October 16, 2023) always take place on Monday evenings from 19:15 to 22:00 in the 'Kinohörsaal' of the Faculty of Engineering (HS 082/006) at Flugplatz, Georges-Köhler-Allee 82.
Voice and register rehearsals will also be held on Monday evenings, October 30, November 20, and December 11, 2023 in the Herderbau at Tennenbacher Straße 4.

Rehearsal weekend 2 from 12 to 14 January 2024
Final rehearsals on Thursday, January 18 and Monday, January 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
Dress rehearsal on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
